A logo redesign doesn't always have to involve a major visual change. In fact a smaller, subtler update can be the key to modernizing a brand's look while maintaining its equity.
This was the case for our friends at Deerfield Park District. While their current logo was trusty and well-loved, it was also due for a refresh. And there were a few other park facilities that needed to re-align their style to match the main Park District brand at the same time.
Rather than pursue a completely new look, we worked with the staff to redraw and refresh their logo without loosing the essence of the brand. Here's a before and after look at the main Park District logo.
You'll notice a few differences:
After settling the main Park District logo, we expanded the refresh to the rest of the logos in the brand family, including the Senior Center, Rec Center, and Golf Course.
The end result is a cleaner, more modern look that honors the past and will last for years to come.
In addition, the new look is similar enough that it can be gradually phased in with minimal upfront investment.
